Dorco/Pace Razors Week 2

So I signed up for Dollar Shave Club over 3 months ago, after not getting any razors or info on it I decided to cancel and look at other options. I found Dorco Razors I mentioned in an earlier post. Well I have been using the Dorco Razors for 2 weeks now and I can say that I am very happy with the way they feel and work and would recommend them to anyone that wants to save some cash. I was using a Gillette Fusion and I have to say the one I got compares to that.

I did try Dollar Shave Club but after waiting for over 3 months for razors I gave up on them so I would not recommend them at all, plus the razors they use are purchased from Dorco USA so you can buy direct from the manufacture.

Shaving and the cost of razors

Razors are crazy expensive so I decided to look into other options to save a little coin. One was Dollar Shave Club, you get a month of razors for $1 plus shipping. Looked good so I signed up for Dollar Shave Club, they got so many sign ups that I still have not received my razors yet. So while waiting for my razors I decided to see what else was out there. A lot of folks talked about using a Safety Razor but that seems a little more than I wanted to do, took a little longer in morning for the shave plus looks like I would cut myself more often. While researching this I found out that a South Korean company, Dorco was the one supplying Dollar Shave Club with their razors so I said why not buy directly from them. We it appears you can and a company in San Diego, Pace Shave has been importing Dorco razors since Sept 2011, I have missed the boat and should have been ordering from them. Well today I placed my order for the handle and 2 razors to try them out, if it works out they are my new supplier of razors for my morning shave.

Lose It! App

So I just started today to track my food intake, I have never really been the type of person to track my calories but everyone I talk to says it helps for the people that seem to eat a little to much. So today I decided to start and I am using the iPhone app Lose It. I am looking to get down to 200lbs by end of summer so I don't think that will be to hard. I will need to lose about 28lbs since I weighed in today at work. I will post updates here as the weeks go by, should be getting back into my daily walking and will be hitting the gym in a month or so.

BAT For Dogs

I just purchased a new book today so I can learn more on Behavior Adjustment Training - BAT for Fear, Frustration, and Aggression in Dogs (BAT for dogs). While Sophie is a really good dog I need to learn more about training and follow through to make her the best dog. We have some issues with her when we are walking and we see other dogs and she starts to growl and bark. This is mostly my issue as she was well trained when we got it but we did not follow through with the correct behaviors for her. So by learning more we can put this into effect. Will follow up in a few weeks with progress.

ChatON released from Samsung for iOS

Samsung released ChatOn for iOS today, they have had it for Android since last Oct. Do we really need another SMS replacement app? This area of the market seems to be really crowded now, it is turning in the IM world back in the late 90's when you had friends using AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc. We need to have an app that is cross plateform that everyone can use, we don't need 10 apps that do the same thing.

Wireless Access Point

Finally I was able to connect my Blu-Ray DVD player to the internet. I have a Vizio Internet Enabled DVD player and it is only wired not wireless. So last week I bought an Asus Wireless Adapter. So tonight I have started getting back in the TV show Lost on Netflix. I am only on Season 1 Episode 8 so I have a lot more shows to go to see the entire series.
